The TP-Link MC111CS is a high-performance WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) Media Converter designed to extend Ethernet networks up to 20 kilometers over single-mode fiber, while using only one fiber strand. Ideal for cost-effective long-distance fiber connectivity, the MC111CS transmits data at 1550nm and receives at 1310nm, making it the reciprocal partner to models like the MC112CS.
With compliance to IEEE 802.3, 802.3u, and 802.3x standards, the MC111CS supports full/half-duplex modes and advanced features such as Link Fault Passthrough (LFP) and Far End Fault (FEF) for rapid failure detection and enhanced network reliability. Its plug-and-play deployment, compact size, and fanless design make it a perfect solution for campus networks, enterprise branches, and ISP infrastructure.

FAQs
Q1. What type of fiber does the MC111CS support? (MC111CS)
The MC111CS supports single-mode fiber using WDM technology, allowing data transmission up to 20 kilometers.
Q2. What is the wavelength configuration of the MC111CS? (MC111CS)
It transmits at 1550nm and receives at 1310nm, which is the reverse of the MC112CS model, enabling paired deployment.
Q3. Can I use the MC111CS with other WDM converters? (MC111CS)
Yes, as long as the paired converter uses the complementary wavelength (Tx: 1310nm, Rx: 1550nm), it will work seamlessly.
Q4. Is any configuration needed before using the MC111CS? (MC111CS)
No, the MC111CS is plug-and-play and requires no software or manual configuration.
Q5. What happens in case of a fiber link failure? (MC111CS)
The device supports Link Fault Passthrough and Far End Fault, which notify you of fiber disruptions, helping minimize downtime.
